About TEAM Programme

"N-Heterocyclic carbenes as ligands in olefin metathesis and beyond" is a research project dedicated to studies on so-called N-Heterocyclic carbenes (NHC). NHCs, introduced as analogues to phosphines, are recently getting wide attention as excellent ligands for diverse homogeneous catalytic systems. The aim of this project is to study preparation and application of new chiral and achiral NHCs in various catalytic reactions.

The main goal of the TEAM project, supported by the Foundation for Polish Science, is to organize a group of devoted young researchers, who, under supervision of project's leader, Prof. Dr. Karol Grela, will persue ambitious and fascinating research. The research will be executed in the new Organometallic Synthesis Laboratory located at Faculty of Chemistry, University of Warsaw, Poland.
The project starts at October 1, 2009 and it lasts till August 31, 2013. Within the project the following positions are opened:
  • 4 postdocs
  • 2 PhD students
  • 2 MSc students
For information about requirement see the following page.
For more information see documents available at FNP site [PL version].

The research work will be conducted in co-operation with scientific groups from Università degli Studi di Salerno, Italy, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes, France, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany, and University of Zurich, Switzerland.
UW, Poland UNISA, Italy ENSCR, France
This Programme is operated within the Innovative Economy Operational Programme 2007-2013.
